Vanessa Griffin - 1st Grade
Mrs. Griffin has been teaching for twenty-two years, and she looks forward to working with your young people for the duration of the 2023-24 school year.
Mrs. Griffin graduated from the State University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in English, a Bachelor of Science in English Secondary Education, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Education. She comes from an entire family of teachers; both her mother and father were English teachers in the state of New York for seven decades, collectively. Mrs. Griffin is the mother of four beautiful children. Her eldest daughter is 15, her boy/girl twins are 13, and her youngest son is 11. Mrs. Griffin loves to spend time reading the bible, praying the rosary, and attending Mass at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. When she is not celebrating church-related activities, she is serving the homeless (people and fur friends), playing board games, gardening, exercising, and of course, reading! Her absolute favorite thing to do is play with her two rescue dogs, Fiona and Princess Leia, and cook lots of food.
You are your child’s first teacher. In partnership with you, she plans to cultivate your child’s language, reading, writing, grammar, math fluency, and connection to our Church. She is honored to teach your child in first grade. Together, she wants to meet educational challenges & she will encourage your children to build their hearts in faith by serving, collaborating, and creating. She looks forward to teaching our young learners how to pray with clarity and live graciously. Mrs. Griffin’s learning community will continue to practice faith and grace by learning more about our Mother Mary and her only begotten son, Jesus Christ. Mrs. Griffin wants children to have opportunities to grow in their understanding of the saints and the written Word in the four books of the bible.
Mrs. Griffin thanks God every day for your beautiful children. If for any reason, you need to contact Mrs. Griffin, you can email her at her school email (given above).
