Carol Arritola - Intervention Specialist
Carol Arritola has over 35 years of experience as an elementary education teacher, Principal and Superintendent of Schools. She began her teaching career in the Los Angeles Unified School District in California. She taught for several years in Northern California before becoming a Principal. Carol and her husband Don moved to Dallas, TX where she served as a Principal and then the President of the school. When coming back to Arizona (she did her student teaching in the Sunnyside School District,) she became the Principal of the K-8 school in Oracle. Following that position, she became the Superintendent of the Oracle School District #02. Moving back to California, she finished out her career as an elementary school Principal. Arriving back in Arizona, Mrs. Arritola couldn’t stay away from helping students and teachers. She did some consulting work for the Diocese of Tucson at St. Charles School, St. Joseph’s School and St. Thomas the Apostle Pre-School. She also served as the Principal of San Xavier Mission School. Following those assignments, she was hired by the University of Arizona as a Student Teaching Supervisor. She loved working with these students, as they would soon become teachers in our schools and wanted to help them be the best that they could be. Mrs. Arritola is very excited to become a member of St. Joseph’s School as the Interventionist. Helping students do their best is her goal for her new position. Mr. and Mrs. Arritola have two grown children and five beautiful grandchildren. She loves spending time with family and golfing, canasta, sewing, quilting and reading are her favorite hobbies.
