Jeanne Heintz - Health Aide
jheintz@stjosephtucsonaz.org
Mrs. Heintz has a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona with an English major and economics minor. She began teaching in the English Department at Salpointe Catholic High School, where she met her husband Gary, a social studies teacher and men’s basketball coach. They moved where the coaching jobs were, and so she taught part time at community colleges in Casa Grande, Arizona and Jamestown, New York. She volunteered at her children’s schools in New York and Flagstaff, Arizona before the family returned to Tucson in 1988. They enrolled their children at St. Joe’s as Gary was an alum, and now so are their four children.
Mrs. Heintz began volunteering in the classrooms here, then transitioned to teaching language arts full time in junior high. After eighteen years, she retired from the classroom and filled the need for a part-time health aide. She is loving the education she is receiving about school health issues through classes, workshops, and conferences, as well as the education she is receiving from the kids! Ms. Heintz obviously loves St. Joe’s!
